The Hamilton Eye Institute is proud to announce that Natalie C. Kerr, MD, FACS, Hiatt Professor of Ophthalmology, received the 2009 Mid-South Lions’ Star of Service Award, honoring the Medical Professional of the Year. Dr. Kerr is the first recipient of this prestigious service Award.
“Dr. Kerr has become one of the Mid-South Lions’ Stars of Service through her work with the UTHSC’s Hamilton Eye Institute. I cannot think of anyone more deserving of being recognized as the Medical Professional of the Year and be designated as 2009 Mid-South Lions’ Star of Service Award recipient”, stated Mr. Brad Baker, President of the Mid-South Lions Sight & Hearing Service.
In addition to serving as Chief of HEI’s Pediatric Ophthalmology Service, Dr. Kerr also serves as Director of the Residency Program, HEI’s Clinic Chief, and member of HEI’s Management Council. The Department congratulates Dr. Kerr for receiving yet one more prestigious honor in her already distinguished career.
