There is still swelling, he said it would go down in a few days. It was an awesome experience watching my eye being made from start with liquid wax being squirted into a form in my eye socket to him painting it perfectly. Dr. Rob Thomas is a wonderful Dr.& Artist. Please let everyone in the lions know I think they are absolutely amazing people & I believe all of you are angels, Here on earth.

Amanda, It is hard to put into words how much we appreciate the Mid-South Lions Organization and yourself as their (Program) Director.  Joan had her first cataract surgery on her worst eye, left, June 14. She was completely unable to read the eye chart.  She was even unable to read a large "E" that covered a 8 X 11 inch posted card at 6 foot.  Her vision the day following the surgery was already 20/30 and they said it would improve even more.   White color became white again instead of yellow.  July 24 she had her right eye done which was not quite as bad.

The results after surgery was almost 20/20 in both eyes with 1.75 reading glasses required.  We, her family did not even know she was that bad.  You have to know her to appreciate what I am saying. 
She does not like to make an issue over her problems.  She picked up her corrective glasses, supplied by the local Lions Club, about a week age and is now performing things she has not done in several years.

Your and your organization are answered prayers and we thank you again.
